What is the Mandelbrot set?
It is the set of complex numbers that do not escape to infinity when you iterate z → z² + c. Points that stay bounded are drawn black; the colors around them show how quickly nearby points escape.
How do I zoom in?
Drag a box around the area you want to enlarge, click Zoom in, or scroll the mouse wheel. Back steps to the previous view; choosing Mandelbrot returns to the classic full set.
Is the fractal rendered in my browser?
