Last updated: juli 27, 2026
1. Introduction
This privacy policy applies to Pictorx, our photo and image editor ("the Editor"), operated by Fotoview in the Netherlands. Fotoview is the data controller responsible for personal data processed through the Editor. For privacy questions, contact us at contact@fotoview.nl.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. When you use our Editor to create, edit, or process images, we want you to understand what data we collect and how we use it. See also our Terms of Service.
2. Image and Project Data
Local processing: Your images and design projects are processed in your browser. We do not upload your images to our servers unless you explicitly save or export them to our cloud storage (if that feature is used).
Favorites and projects: When you save favorites or projects, this data may be stored locally in your browser (cookies and localStorage) so you can access them across sessions. This data stays on your device.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and local storage to improve your experience:
- Essential: Language preference, authentication session (when signed in), and basic app functionality.
- Functional: Your saved favorites, projects, and editor settings (theme, tool preferences).
You can manage your cookie preferences below.
4. Account and Sign-In
When you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Microsoft, we receive your email address, name, and provider user ID to create and manage your account. We do not share this information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Account data is stored in our database on servers hosted by Mijn Hosting Partner.nl, who acts as a data processor on our behalf. Their servers are located in the Netherlands.
5. Requests from Public Authorities
If we receive a request from a public authority (such as law enforcement or a government agency) for personal data of our users, we handle it as follows:
- Legal review: We review each request to verify that it has a valid legal basis and complies with applicable law, including the GDPR, before disclosing any data.
- Challenging unlawful requests: If we consider a request to be unlawful, disproportionate, or insufficiently substantiated, we may refuse, narrow, or formally challenge the request.
- Data minimization: We disclose only the minimum personal data necessary to comply with a legally valid request. We do not provide access to data beyond what is specifically required.
- Documentation: We maintain internal records of requests received, our assessment of their legality, the data disclosed (if any), and the persons involved in handling the request.
6. Your Rights
You can withdraw cookie consent at any time, clear your browser data, or contact us at contact@fotoview.nl to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Essential cookies are required for the Editor to function and cannot be disabled.
